Simons has more than 20 years’ experience financing and scaling early-stage growth companies and acting as a trusted advisor to startup companies, angel investors and corporate boards.  Simons owns and operates SC Capital Management LLC, a start-up advisory, angel investor and registered investment advisor business. Achievements include successful early-stage debt and equity financings and strategy and capital raising advisory assignments.  Simons' most recent role in an operating company involved managing Instra, a digital marketing company and accredited domain registrar, through a transition period.  Previously, and supported by a principal investment from SC Capital, Simons was the primary driving force behind the financing and start-up of an emerging consumer brand that achieved rapid growth in the highly competitive US beverage industry.  In his early career, Simons ran an industrial products company financed by a venture capital investment from Jerry Zucker, a Forbes-list industrialist.   Simons has extensive experience budgeting and forecasting, hardening internal processes for growth and mapping product strategies to business objectives.  Simons started his career as a financial analyst with the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC).  There, he played a central roll in negotiating and structuring high-profile senior debt financings in the oil & gas (Russia), power (Central America), hotel (South America), telecom (Central Asia) and manufacturing sectors (Global).
